💼 Impact at work

DB1 Global Software, Nov 2023 – Present as React and Mobile Developer, Dec 2021 – Nov 2023 as Junior React Developer.

✅ Led a React Native e-commerce app to 500,000+ downloads - With no fully formed squad, I took the technical lead: architecture, code standards, release flow and day-to-day development, with a focus on performance and accessibility.

✅ Core banking for 50,000+ customers - Built and maintained web features with React, Next.js and TypeScript for the platforms of a bank and two credit unions.

✅ USD 10,000+ in potential savings - Found delivery bottlenecks in a client project, collected and structured the financial data and presented a plan based on engineering and agile process changes.

✅ Raised the quality bar of my teams - Introduced code standards, better code reviews and Clean Code practices in the projects I joined.

✅ Beyond my own tickets - Tracked delivery metrics (lead time, cycle time, deployment frequency) and joined company initiatives such as improving the onboarding of new team members.

🛠️ Side projects in production

andreluizv.dev.br - Migrated the blog from MDX files in the repo to my own content API (Fastify, Drizzle, PostgreSQL on Neon, Vercel Blob) with a shared Zod contract, so publishing no longer needs a deploy. Added a private writing panel with OAuth sign-in, live preview with the real layouts, in-browser WebP image conversion and a cover generator. CI and automated releases on every merge.
Ritmoso - Habits, tasks and goals app in three languages. Next.js, Prisma and PostgreSQL, tested with Jest, Testing Library and Playwright.
My Free Flashcards - Spaced-repetition PWA with Google sign-in, real-time sync between devices and offline mode, on React, Vite and Firebase.

Mentored 200+ students a month as a Peer Coach at Kenzie Academy Brasil, through code reviews and debugging sessions.
Internal developer training at DB1 - Wrote frontend lessons for a program that prepares people to enter the field, and content on CSS, responsive design and internationalization for junior developers moving to mid-level.
Lightning talk on browser integration in React Native for DB1's developer community.

✍️ Writing

3,000+ readers on my blog, written in English, Portuguese and Spanish, about React, Next.js, system design, accessibility and performance.
